Blue Spruce is the picture book category of the Canadian reading festival Forest of Reading. This year, our Grade 3 students will team up with other children in libraries around the Board to read and discuss the wonderful picture books we've been reading.

What is a BLOG?

Our blogging guidelines to read before you get started:

- I will not give out any information more personal than my first name
- I will not copy and paste someone else's words or ideas; instead I will expand on others’ ideas in my own words or use quotation marks around someone else's words, telling who said it.
- I will use language appropriate for school.
- I will always respect my fellow students and their writing.
- I will only post pieces that I am comfortable with everyone seeing.
- I will use not criticize someone else's ideas.
- I will avoid making silly posts. Instead, I will take blogging seriously, posting only comments and ideas that are meaningful and that contribute to the overall conversation.
- I will take my time when I write, using proper language, and I will try to spell everything correctly.
- I will never log in to anyone else's account or post pretending to be someone else, and I will not bully others in my blog posts or in my comments.
- I will only post comments on books and posts that I have fully read, rather than just skimmed.
- I will not reveal anyone else’s identity in my comments or posts.
